Our Youtube Winter Projects
NEWS AND INFO SERIES
We’re still very much in the building stage of our series and as said before in previous articles, surgery rehab has been the big influence this year. It’s strange in that rehab is limiting yet the answer for the mental, emotional and physical is actually to use the Tribulation Soldier as a means of rehab. So, in reality, all is good and progressing albeit slower than expected. But yes, it’s very much been a season of recovery from a tremendous ordeal, but developing the series has been a great help. It’s brought up, especially in the social media videos, some projects for this coming colder season and then winter in Scotland.
As a little example, I was out filming one of our motorbike vlogs and on the return journey, I filled up with bad fuel from a rural petrol station. The Bandit spluttered to a stop about three times before I finally gave in and called the recovery truck. On the one hand, it was annoying but on the other hand, it was a great opportunity to do some work on the bike. It was in this the idea came up to not only fix a couple of things but to actually get to work on the bike to give it a makeover. So, over the next few weeks, this will be part of our winter projects on our Birnie Family Youtube Channel. I’ve picked the colors and know what to do, however, this isn’t our only project.
As part of the Youtube Channel, we also have a playlist of videos called DIY Dad where we’ve been filming us catching up on the house after surgery. But one of the big jobs has been our decking out in the back garden. Part of the deck became rotten and I just physically couldn’t do anything about it due to surgery, but now I’m feeling more up to it and have a design in mind! And quite unexpectedly, I was offered some wood for free, just when I needed it. God provides! So this will be a couple of our winter projects as we see out 2019.
Any visitor can view our Birnie Family Youtube Channel. Just click on the Amber Youtube Icon on our social media bar and this will take you to the page and there you’ll see the videos so far.
