Scripture Interpretation and the Tribulation Soldier
(1 Cor 3:11-15) “…for other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ, now if any man build upon this foundation with gold, silver and precious stones, wood, hay, stubble, every man’s work shall be made manifest, for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed with fire, and the fire will try every man’s work for what it is…”
When it comes to truth and works, the verses above are the challenge for any Christian Pastor, because everything we say and do, will be judged in the end, face to face by our Lord Jesus Christ. For me, this challenge is no hardship, partly because it’s a joy and if God’s Word was actual food, I’d eat it every day of the week! The other part though, is a deep desire within, to share God’s Word and His ways with a tremendous accuracy, so that hearers will be hugely blessed and get to know the true God, in the full scope of His personality.
For the subject of the End Times, the Rapture and Tribulation, I follow the ‘Milk of the Word’ doctrines of the ‘Resurrection of the Dead’ and the ‘Eternal Judgments’. There’s three foundational teachings in each, which provide the framework for determining the sequence of events of the end times. Employing all of the methods of scripture interpretation, which include; taking the scriptures in context of book, chapter & verse, studying the original Hebrew and Greek Texts and of course the leading of the Holy Spirit, these events, found in both the old and the new testament, can be pieced together, to give a full picture of things to come. However, if these methods are not used to their fullest, then incomplete and even false conclusions will be made.
These are the methods of scripture interpretation that I and many other Christian preachers use, to ensure that we don’t fall into incomplete or false teachings, sharing passionately and joyfully, the great wonder that is Jesus Christ and His Great Word to us.
THE TRIBULATION SOLDIER – Every part of the Tribulation Soldier is based fully on the timeline and events of the scriptures along with the great ways of God, in His love, compassion and genius ways.
