Lockdown in Scotland 2021
SITUATION REPORT
Firstly, a Happy New Year to any reading at the moment and as we see the roll-out of the first of the vaccines, this year promises to be the beginning of the end of this season of Coronavirus on the world stage. For most, we’ll emerge from this season having only battled the uncertainty of the situation. For others, they will be left with a longer reaching consequence, such as having lost family and friends or coping with the financial difficulties this season has created. We hope that you know that you are very much in our prayers and we will continue to pray, long after this season has ended.
Our beginning of the end in Scotland has begun with a return to tougher restrictions, close to what we experienced in early 2020, with a full lockdown over the course of January 2021. This may also extend as the UK government battle a new and more easily transmitted strain of the virus, using this time as a circuit breaker, as the race between infection rates and roll-out of the vaccine continues.
For us, little is changing as we still have our children’s daycare service open and filled with the children of keyworkers in our area. It means of course that we have to take extra precautions, but as always, we’re so proud of the keyworkers who are continuing the fight. As with other countries around the world, the great majority of our keyworkers have gone above and beyond the call of duty, with some even paying the ultimate price, and we thank you guys all so much for what you’re doing. It will be appreciated for many years to come!
Over the next while to come, we’ll continue to share a limited schedule of videos, images and articles, mostly due to David and Emily being home from school, until these major restrictions end. This is so that we can focus on them and try to keep life as normal as possible. This means that we’ll be filming and sharing more videos for the kid’s youtube channel and filming some stock videos for future shares.
So guys, again there’s nothing more for it than to keep cracking on and working our way forward. Hopefully, the vaccines will be distributed more quickly than predicted, but we do pray for those who will be affected long after this season has come to an end. God bless you all.
