Falling Behind and Catching Up

NEWS AND INFO

Anyone who reads this blog post knows already that this has been a unique year creating a lot of uncertainty for us all as we move through this pandemic. Although small in comparison to the challenges faced by many, plans have changed a lot for us this year with David and Emily being at home for so long and having our children’s daycare service open for the children of keyworkers. It’s meant that we’ve fallen behind with some things, but way ahead with others putting us in the position of catch up before the year is out.

So, we’re working hard to complete parts of projects like our motorcycle customisation for our Birnie Family YouTube. This is the one which has fell behind. However, we’ve been blitzing through some of the work to make sure it will be ready for our next motorcycle vlogging season, and I have to say, I’m hugely pleased with the results. Another project, the Land Rover Discovery Recovery project fell behind a little due to how busy local garages have been vehicle testing during the coronavirus season. It’s back on the road now with only the wheels to paint and installing the roof rack and roof tent for next year.

With my own personal surgery recovery still ongoing, it’s the boat which hasn’t received as much attention as we’d liked. It runs and functions well, but it really needs a paint and a rejigging of the electrics, so I’ll be trying to complete this again for the start of next season. This will combine with the fishing videos we’ve been filming more and more of with videos of fishing on Loch Ness and Loch Lomond. And last but not least, we still have our new kitchen in storage for me to fit to the house as part of our DIY Dad playlist on YouTube.

Again guys, small issues in comparison and hopefully we’ll crack on and get some of these things complete. As always, we hope any are enjoying the videos we’re producing at the moment. They are hugely helpful in surgery recovery, and hopefully, we’ll have a great online stock, before this year is out!
