The Coronavirus in Scotland

NEWS AND INFO SERIES

It’s obviously a concerning time for many at the moment as the Coronavirus becomes more widespread. Here in our northern part Scotland, we can be fairly sheltered from these things, but even here, we’re seeing signs in our region. With the way of the world now, many people travel, especially our local Air Force and Army Base personnel as well as the large group of oil workers we have in our area, not to mention all of the holidaymakers. So, a time to be cautious until things are contained.

For us, with David and Emily, the disruption will come if the schools close, which they may sooner than expected, meaning we’ll need to run a reduced schedule of videos and articles. Also, because we work from home, we’ll be helping out friends with childcare while they work, so that they can carry on with their jobs. However, we’ll still be sharing on our Birnie Family Instagram and Steven and Sharon Facebook page.

Lastly guys just a message, especially if you’re being directly affected by the Coronavirus, and our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. For those reading from Scotland, our advice would be to follow the Scottish Parliament updates, remembering that Scotland differs from the rest of the UK at times, so that you can find out the latest updates. As for ourselves, we’ll keep you updated on social media. Bless you guys.
