An Explanation of the Word Rapture

Many believe, that there’s no such thing mentioned in the scriptures of the word rapture or of an actual rapture event, which is true in part. The word rapture doesn’t appear, however if a person discounted a rapture event, then they couldn’t be further from the truth. For true scripture interpretation, a person would need to employ all of the methods of scripture interpretation which was outlined in the ‘the interpretation of the bible’ post. This includes examining God’s Word in the original and far superior languages of the Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic and when they do, they’d find that the correct term is ‘a catching away.’ So briefly…..This catching away is part of a threefold doctrine of ‘Caught Up’ ‘Gathered Up’ and ‘Given Up.’ Each relates perfectly to the foundational teachings of the three Eternal Judgments. More so, they marry up perfectly with all of the teachings in the OT and NT which relate to the end times.

As for the word rapture, well, there’s no such word as a Bishop (1 Tim 3) in the original texts. This word was inserted during the King James Translation (which I love) to give positions to various men. Baptism was a Greek word inserted into the English language, it’s true Greek meaning is ‘Bapto’ which means ‘to dip something wholly into fluid and take it out again.’ But, we as Christians, still use these words as common terms and, the rapture is just another.

THE TRIBULATION SOLDIER – In our series, many of our main characters will experience the full force and the after effects of the rapture. Of losing family members and loved ones, living in the aftermath of this now very different Tribulation world.

Rapture Books – The Rapture, Knight of Nights, Montagu Maggie and the Lord’s SEAL.
