I’m a single Christian and I have real desires to find a Husband but it’s difficult when there’s so few Christian men in my city, is Online Christian Dating a good thing or a bad thing?

.

Good question and I hope I can answer it fully. Firstly it’s a natural desire for most people to find a companion in life and it’s something God commends and honors very highly, it’s even more of a pleasure to him if that individual recognizes the need of a Christian partner.  As I’m sure you already know, the Word teaches us not to be unequally yoked with an unbeliever and it’s not that God doesn’t love the unbeliever, it’s just that a Christian person thinks very differently to one who doesn’t believe and the relationship would be strained.

.

I have to say, I think the idea of Online Dating is a tremendous advance for single Christians especially those who might live in a

small city with few opportunities to get to know Christians their same age.  Online dating just seems to open up such a great avenue and as long as you use it carefully, I believe it’s a great way to go.  Let me explain my enthusiasm, I’m a former Youth Pastor and a parent to a teen and you can’t help but to feel a sense of sorrow especially when you have Christians in your fold who are on fire for God yet they struggle with who might be their husband/wife, it’s a natural point to come to in life but it can be hard for some.

.

I’ve also seen so many young adults struggle needlessly because they feel God disapproves of their desire to have a companion and each time I’ve seen God approve and lead.  We have Christian friends who have found love and marriage through Online Dating and moving into years down the line, they’re still doing well. My advice would be to go for it just in the way God calls us to do, with prayer and acknowledgement of God, let him lead you through this path and remember, your God’s daughter, he wants the very best for you so don’t settle for anything less.  I hope this answers your question and every blessing to you in your pursuit, just remember your first love – Jesus!

God bless
