Good evening and I hope this message finds you well.

.

Most of you who are regular visitors to our Website will know that for the past 18 months, Sharon and I have taken a far more relaxed role in our local church due to the birth of our two new babies, Emily and David however, the relaxed role may be changing for us over the next few months as we step up again to labour in our Local Church.  We’ve had a few conversations over the weeks with our Senior Pastor, Robert and Margaret Evans and they’ve kindly allowed me to take their pulpit on several occasions to share God’s Word and as things have progressed, it looks more and more likely we’ll be taking a more active role soon.  It is something we’ll need to ease back into, more for the sake of Emily and David than anything else but we’re excited and honoured that God is indeed leading us in this direction.

.

I’ve always said, our time away has been bitter sweet in that we’ve loved having this level of time to spend with our babies to give them a good foundation and settle us as a family but on the other hand, it’s been hard to be on the sidelines.  I miss Pastoring a great deal and although you never stop being that Pastor, it’s difficult to watch when you want to help however as always, God knows best and the time we’ve spent with our children so far has been tremendously fruitful. It makes perfect sense and it is after all the subject of our website, the foundation.  This time has been so important for our babies in ways we’ll maybe will never fully understand, children at the baby level need a lot of attention, reassurance and care and we’re seeing time and time again just how much fruit comes from being sensitive to the Spirit in this area of our lives and we’ll continue to build their foundation as best we can.

.

So, it looks like it’s time to start winding back up again and for me, there’s lots to do.  I’m looking forward to working with our Senior Pastors and our brothers and sisters in the fellowship, we’re looking forward to all the things God is going to do and most of all, hoping as always to draw in the lost.  We’ll keep our readers updated as always but your prayers during this time would be very much appreciated.

.

God bless

Steven
