Questions Answered

“…Why did God create Satan if he knew he would rebel?…”
.
This is a good question and one which many have challenged Christians about in the past, why did God create Satan when he knew he’d rebel? The first aspect which we need to bear in mind to answer this question is, that Satan was originally an Angel and like all other Angels, Heavenly Hosts and Mankind, he was given gift of free-will, free to choose and think for himself. In that choice, Lucifer decided he wanted to be like God and one-third of the Angels agreed, with the result being judgement and expulsion from heaven.
.
These choices by Satan mirror those decisions made by mankind time and time again, to know the truth and have heaven open to them, only to refuse, rebel and go their own way. It’s ludicrous when you really take time to think about it, given the promises the gifts from God, that an Angel or human being would refuse, instead going their own way in destruction. This free-will though is something God gave all, the freedom to choose, he didn’t create evil rather knowledge of good and evil meaning, he is still perfect as he’s always been. When it comes to free-will, well there has to be that choice between choosing the right way and the wrong way, otherwise it isn’t free will, it isn’t individuals who are free to make their own choices but with this choice, there’s the inevitability of some choosing the unrighteous way.
.
From the outset, it was God’s desire to create and create beings which we’re absolutely free to choose and fellowship with him otherwise he would have made a nation of robots. God knowing they’d rebel, doesn’t really come into question simply because that choice has to be present for free-will to be a reality, otherwise it’s not free-will. Is God unrighteous then? No, God never created evil, only the knowledge of good and evil leaving his created, to either choose the creator or their own lusts. I hope this has been a satisfactory answer to the question and I’ll leave you with this to sumarise, his ways are simply not our ways and in the end, when all the discussion is done and over with, he is God, he just is. It’s a reality and a revelation each and every individual needs to arrive,
.
God bless
