(Mat 18:6) “…But whosoever shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea…” – In this situation Jesus was using the example of children in a teaching and in it, he uncovered the true heart of God towards little ones, do children go to heaven? Yes they do!
.
This is one of those subjects, which has a heightened sense of reality having two children under two at this point in our lives but one I believe needs answered clearly, due to the seriousness of the subject. This is one of those questions in which there are differing views and unfortunately, these kind of debates do very little for the individual who is looking for the answer for comfort, when all they need is a credible answer from a credible Christian. So, this article has been compiled, from years of living a Christian life, experience from Pastoring in the Body of Christ and deep study of God’s Word, for the reader who has been directly affected by this subject to find some reassurance.
.
When you have experienced Jesus working in your life and studied the Word of God for many years you begin to learn many doctrines and teachings which make up what you believe and if you’ve experienced God on deep level, those teachings tend to correspond from his Word perfectly confirming your belief structure. When you’ve studied God’s Word, employing all of the methods for correct interpretation including

the plain meaning of text, the context of the verses, the original Hebrew and Greek, having a broad overview of the scriptures, aware of the purpose of the books and testaments, the history of the Word and lastly and most importantly, followed the guiding hand of the Holy Spirit, then you can arrive at no other conclusion about specific subjects. To do so would contradict other confirmed teachings and doctrines, so in light of the question of do children go to heaven, then I can categorical tell you, as the Lord as my witness, a total and absolute 100%, yes, they do.

.
One aspect you have to be absolutely clear on in this subject, is the true nature of death itself because many have the view of the physical body giving up and everything turning black but death, is never referred to as the cessation of life in God’s Word but rather the physical body going to the ground with the soul departing. A soul from the moment of conception, is an eternal soul which will never be extinguished rather, it will either go to hell if unsaved or heaven if saved to await judgement, it cannot simply cease to exist, it must go to either place and face the judgement of God. The requirement to go to hell is unbelief in the finished work of Jesus Christ and the requirement for heaven, is belief in Jesus Christ and since an unborn child or infant cannot possibly make this reasoned decision and they cannot go anywhere but hell or heaven, they must come before God for judgement so, what would God’s judgement be on the infant or child, go to hell because you couldn’t make a decision or enter into heaven because you couldn’t make a decision?
.
The answer is abundantly clear, knowing God himself and his Word to us, there is simply no way God would be unjust and punish in this way, to say otherwise would contradict some of the most important doctrines in God’s Word including ‘repentance from dead works, faith toward God, baptisms, resurrection of the dead and the eternal judgment teachings’ rendering other teachings inaccurate and incomplete. To say an unborn or an infant child goes to hell is quite simply, one of the most ridiculous beliefs which can surround the subject of Christianity not only discrediting God’s Word but as we see in the verses shown above from the Book of Matthew, contradicting the true nature of God himself. Do unborn and infants go to heaven, absolutely yes…….
