I thought I’d take the opportunity tonight to firstly follow up on some previous articles about myself and Sharon’s new Pastoral role as part of The New Elgin Christian Fellowship and secondly, to hopefully let our visitors and customers know a little more about us as a Christians. We’d also like to take this opportunity to thank those who have encouraged us in our ministry both in the local church as well as this website, as it’s unlikely we would have succeeded otherwise and we thank you for being sensitive to the Spirit of the Lord. So hopefully this article will fill in the blanks from some previous articles.

COMING SOON – ‘The End Times Illustrated’ EBook
.
Aside from this Bookshop and our hopes to open a Christian Children’s Home, serving our local church and local area remains our primary call as Christians and when we stepped down from oversight due to the birth of our two new babies, it was a bit bitter sweet. It was sweet in that we could now live out our nine year promise from God to give us children of our own and bitter, in that it was very difficult for us to be

on the sidelines. It has been a great and challenging season for us though as we’ve spent time with the kids and continued building our website and looking back it’s clear for us to see just why God has had us in the position.

.
It was during those months which gave us a lot of time to seek God about the next stage of our family and church life and to our surprise, we felt impressed upon to move from our church to an assembly far more local to us to continue serving this area. It was a difficult decision with the all too familiar wrestling to make sure it was definitely of the Lord however in the end, it was clear this was indeed the path for myself and for Sharon. So, we are now the Associate Pastors of the New Elgin Christian Fellowship which is just a walk up the road from us and we are settling in nicely. Pastor Rob and Margaret Evans, along with the fellowship, have welcomed us with open arms and have been so encouraging complimenting my own sermons as well as loving our babies and we are very excited about what the future holds.
.
We’ve actually known Pastor Rob and Margaret for some years now and find them to be not only close family friends but very like-minded Christians also, as we both have a tremendous desire to see the church grow and focus on saving the lost and in many ways, Rob and Margaret are giving us a lot of freedom to feel our way forward and see what God is going to do. That like-mindedness we feel is just essential to success and we very much feel we’re on the same page, so hopefully we’ll see God steer us in the right direction as we move along.
.
So hopefully we will be posting some articles in the future of the various news and events taking place in our new fellowship which we hope will bless, teach and encourage our readers.
.
God bless
Pastor Steven Birnie
