As a Christian Father, this has been a subject I’ve been thinking on quite a bit ever since the birth of Emily and David and I thought it important, to brush up on this subject as part of my own personal studies and I could think of no better place to start than the Book of Ephesians.  This is an amazing verse from scripture due to it being one of the few New Testament verses giving advice on parenthood yet, it’s a powerful but simple truth, which you can draw mountains of revelation from. What strikes you, is the advice for Fathers (Greek – Parents) not to provoke their child to anger and as always with scripture, it leaves you hungry to find out exactly what God means. He is the great Father with all the great advice and where secular books (not all bad) spend page upon page giving instruction and advice, God puts forward this simple instruction to his children, so that they might bring up their children well.

As I was doing a little research, I came across this article from a well-known former teacher in the Body of Christ called Ray Stedman (who has since went on to be with the Lord) who wrote a teaching some time ago on this subject. So rather than me put this forward as an teaching, I’ll allow Ray to take the floor and share his message from his vast years of experience. To view the article, please click on the link below which will take you to Ray’s Website. I hope you enjoy.
